Bourbon Brownies
Bourbon adds a depth of flavor to this thick, chewy, brownies that are worthy of a special occasion.

- 1 1/2 cups all purpose flour
- 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa
- 1 tsp baking posder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 1/3 cup granulated sugar
- 6 tbsp butter softened and cut into pieces
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 2 large eggs
- 1/4 cup bourbon
- 1/4 cup semi sweet chocolate in pieces
Preheat oven to 350 F.
Line a 9 inch baking pan with parchment paper.
In a small bowl, combine 1 1/2 cup flour, 1/2 cup cocoa powder, 1 teaspoon baking powder, and 1/2 teaspoon salt and whisk together.
In a large bowl, combine sugar and butter and use a hand mixer to, beat until light and creamy.
Add 1 teaspoon vanilla, 2 eggs, and 1/4 cup bourbon and beat well.
Add dry mixture to the wet ingredients.
Fold in chocolate pieces. Batter will be thick.
Spread batter in a 9" baking pan. Bake 25-30 minutes until brownies are set. Do not overbake.
Cool on a rack and cut into 16 bars.
