Pineapple Refresher Mocktail with Töst

Pineapple refresher Mocktail

I’m not doing Dry January (that’s a topic for another post), but I know lots of people are. And, I’m pretty intentional about when and what I drink. So I thought this was a great time to share one of my favorite non-alcoholic beverages. Pineapple Refresher Mocktails with Töst are a delicious and fancy drink and you’ll never miss the alcohol.

This is not a sponsored post. I don’t work for Tost and I am not making any money if you buy their product. But I’ve tried tons of na wines and truthfully, I don’t like most of them. Töst, howler was different. Mixed with juices I seriously can’t tell the difference between it and sparkling wine. And, I could even drink this Töst on it’s own.

I also like that it’s a reasonable price point. Many of the non alcoholic wines out there cost more than a regular bottle of wine. And it’s readily available at local retailers. I bought the Töst for this Pineapple Refresher Mocktail in CVS. I like that I didn’t have to order it online, because that seems like a giant hassle to me for a product I might not even like.

But, if you aren’t into Töst, can’t find it, or want to make this with what you have on hand, keep reading for some easy swaps.

Why You’ll Love It:

This Pineapple Refresher Mocktail is fruity, delicious, and so pretty. The dry sparkling na wine cuts through the sweetness, so it’s perfect for a winter a celebration (wouldn’t that pink drink be pretty on Valentine’s Day?), but it’s also a great summer option. Pineapple mocktails always make me think of the beach.

Pineapple refresher mocktails come together in just a few minutes. You only need a few simple ingredient to pull together this pretty mocktail: pineapple juice, grenadine, and Töst sparkling na wine. I added a few cherries for fun. It would also look fabulous with a slice of pineapple. But I didn’t have one. And I’m not that fancy. Every time I do a beverage shoot I think I really should invest in some barware accessories and those long skewers.

Non alcoholic beverages are perfect for any night week. Enjoy a fun sip with your friends without the hangover. The benefits to not drinking are well documented: better sleep, glowing skin, not feeling tired or groggy in the morning, it’s good for your liver. If you’re reading mocktail recipes you probably already know about these.

According to the Töst website they created this beverage so everyone can celebrate their moments positively and inclusively. And I’m all about inclusion. “TÖST is carefully crafted using only the finest all natural ingredients.” And it’s perfect for special occasion and daily sips. The ingredient list is simple: carbonated water, organic blue agave, white tea, white cranberry concentrate, natural ginger extract, natural citrus extract, natural flavors, citric acid, and quinine. It’s low in calories (just 45 per serving) and it isn’t overly sweet. The taste is a mix of crisp citrus with a dry finish.

I don’t like sweet wine. Whether I’m drinking red, white, or sparkling, I want a nice crisp, dry taste. Töst provides that without the alcohol.

How to Make Pineapple Refresher Mocktail:

I like my pineapple juice to be cold for this Pineapple Refresher Mocktail recipe. Warm pineapple juice is just ick. So I start by adding some ice and 2 ounces of pineapple juice to a beverage shaker and shaking vigorously. You can skip this step. You can also double the recipe add 4 ounces of pineapple juice for two drinks.

Then pour the pineapple juice into a beverage glass. I used a martini glass for the photos, but any kind of pretty glass is fine. Add a splash of grenadine. Really, just a splash. A little goes a long way and just a touch of grenadine will turn your drink pink. Then add the Töst. Like a traditional mimosa, I like more na wine than juice in Pineapple Refreher Mocktail, but feel free to adjust the riots to your liking.

Garnish your mocktail with some cherries and a slice of pineapple wedge.

You can also make Pineapple Refresher Mocktails for a crowd. I would combine the pineapple juice and grenadine in a pitcher. Pour the juice over ice and add Töst individually to each glass.

If you don’t have Töst, feel free to substitute with your favorite na sparkling wine. You can even just use seltzer or club soda. I would not use sparkling cider or grape juice because I don’t think the flavors would go well with pineapple and I think it would be too sweet. But if you try it and like it, let me know!

Enjoy!

The great thing about Pineapple Refresher Mocktails is they can be enjoyed anytime, anyplace. If you’ve got sober friends in your crowd, everyone can sip on the same fun drink. You can even enjoy Töst straight from the bottle, just like champagne.

These Pineapple Refresher Mocktails would also be perfect for a baby shower!

Try them at brunch, for a Galentine’s day get together, or on the patio this summer!

Cheers!

Instructions

  • Add a splash of grenadine. (you don’t need much and it will turn your drink pink).
  • Pour in Töst.

Notes

Alternativley, you can serve the drink over ice. This is a great option if you need a big batch. You want to add the Tost to individual servings. But you can set out a pitcher of pineapple juice mixed with grenadine and put over ice, adding Töst to the top.
Don’t have Töst? No problem! There are a bunch of other na sparkling wines available. Substitute with your favorite. Or just add club soda or unflavored seller’s. This would also be delicious with a coconut LaCroix for a hint of Pina colada flavoring.
I would not add sparkling grape juice or sparkling cider to this becasue it will be really sweet. But that’s just me. I don’t like things that are too sweet (except cake). If you experiment with other sparkling beverages let me know.
