Everything But the Bagel Cream Cheese – Easy and Delicious
I’ve got a quick and easy recipe for you today. But don’t let the simplicity fool you. This Everything But the Bagel Cream Cheese is delicious. And just special enough to serve at a dinner party.
Why You’ll Love It:
A couple of weeks ago, we had some friends over for dinner. I whipped up a quick antipasto with cheeses, grilled veggies, and meats. At the last minute, I decided to add some Everything But the Bagel Cream Cheese to the platter. It was the most popular selection!
And twice during the weekend, my friend asked me if I had any more of “that incredible dip.”
Yep. It’s that good.
I didn’t. But it’s so easy to make I quickly whipped up some more. All you need is two simple ingredients: cream cheese (I love Green yogurt cream cheese if you can find it) and Everything But the Bagel seasoning. And no, you don’t need to go to Trader Joe’s anymore to find this famous seasoning. Most grocery stores stock their own version.
How to Make Everything But the Bagel Cream Cheese:
Are you ready? Pay close attention. This is a tough recipe.
Just kidding. You could do it in your sleep. You don’t even really need a recipe.
Get out a block of cream cheese and let it soften. If you can’t wait, pop it in the microwave for about fifteen seconds. No more or you will have warm, melty cream cheese (which is great for sauces and stews, but not so much for dips).
Place the cream cheese in a bowl. Add 1/4 cup of Everything But the Bagel seasoning and mix with a hand mixer until well combined. Can you use a wooden spoon? Sure. Your arm will get a workout.
Don’t have Everything But the Bagel seasoning? Can’t find it? You can order it here. Or make your own. Simply combine 2 tablespoons of poppy seeds, 2 tablespoons of white sesame seeds, 2 tablespoons of black sesame seeds, 2 tablespoons of dried minced garlic, 2 tablespoons of dried onion flakes, and 4 teaspoons of coarse sea salt. You’ll have extra, you can store it in an airtight container.
Enjoy!
This Everything But the Bagel Cream Cheese is delicious with veggies and crackers. Red peppers and wheat thins are my favorite, respectively. It’s also great on a bagel or sandwich. Try this Open Faced Tomato and Avocado sandwich for a delicious combination.
Happy Eating!
